About this policy

This policy explains how personal information is collected, held, used and disclosed in connection with Finance with PN’s mortgage-broking and credit-assistance services.

Finance with PN is the personal mortgage broking brand of Pankaj Nanglu. Pankaj operates as a Loan Writer under Wizwealth Finance Pty Ltd, the AFG Member Organisation, and is Credit Representative No. 561397 of Australian Finance Group Ltd, Australian Credit Licence 389087.

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Pankaj Nanglu in connection with enquiries and credit assistance. Information may also be handled by Wizwealth Finance and AFG as part of the credit-assistance, application, compliance and record-keeping process.

This policy is available free of charge and may be updated when information-handling practices or legal obligations change. The current version will show its effective date.

Personal information we collect and hold

We may collect and hold personal information and credit-related information reasonably necessary to provide credit assistance and related services, including:

  • Identity and contact information, including identification documents
  • Residency, citizenship, family and dependant information
  • Employment, income, taxation, business and financial information
  • Assets, liabilities, expenses, bank account and transaction information
  • Credit history, repayment history, defaults, hardship and credit eligibility information
  • Property, security, loan purpose and insurance information
  • Financial objectives, requirements and circumstances
  • Health or vulnerability information where reasonably necessary and permitted

How we collect and hold information

We generally collect information directly from you through meetings, telephone calls, electronic communications, forms and supporting documents.

The website enquiry form is transmitted through Formspree. Appointment bookings are completed through Google Calendar. Please use these services only for contact details and a brief description of your enquiry; do not submit identification documents, bank details, payslips or other sensitive financial documents through the website or booking form.

We may also collect information from a joint applicant, authorised representative, employer, accountant, existing or proposed credit provider, credit reporting body, government agency, identity-verification provider, property professional or another third party where you have authorised the collection or it is otherwise permitted by law.

Keeping information secure

Information may be held in electronic systems operated by Pankaj, Wizwealth, AFG or approved service providers, and in secure physical records where required. Reasonable steps are taken to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

If information is not provided

If you do not provide information reasonably requested, we may be unable to verify your identity, assess your circumstances, provide credit assistance, identify suitable credit options or submit and administer a credit application.

Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information, where reasonably necessary or permitted by law, to:

  • Wizwealth Finance Pty Ltd, Australian Finance Group Ltd, and their related entities and service providers
  • Credit providers, mortgage insurers, title insurers and other product providers
  • Credit reporting bodies and other credit providers
  • Valuers, conveyancers, lawyers, accountants, financial advisers and other professional advisers
  • Real estate agents and other people authorised by you
  • Identity, income, bank-statement and document-verification providers
  • Technology, cloud-storage, document-management and administrative service providers
  • Formspree, which transmits website enquiry forms, and Google, which hosts the appointment-booking service
  • Government agencies, regulators, courts, tribunals and dispute-resolution bodies
  • Other people where disclosure is required or authorised by law

Credit-related information

Credit-related information may include identification information, the type and amount of credit sought or provided, repayment history, defaults, hardship arrangements, insolvency information, court information, credit enquiries and information derived from credit reporting information.

We may collect, use and disclose this information to provide credit assistance, assist with credit applications, verify information and meet legal obligations.

Some service providers and other recipients may handle personal information outside Australia. Depending on the service and transaction, likely locations may include:

Formspree and Google may process website enquiry or booking information outside Australia, including in the United States. Actual locations can change with provider arrangements. Contact Pankaj before submitting information if you require current details about a particular service.

Access and correction

You may request access to personal information held about you or ask for information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading to be corrected. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If access or correction is refused where permitted by law, written reasons and available complaint options will generally be provided.

Privacy complaints

If you believe your personal information has been mishandled or an applicable privacy obligation has been breached, please contact Pankaj and describe your concern. The complaint will be acknowledged and investigated, further information may be requested, and a response will be provided within a reasonable period.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
